Aaaaaaaaaaahhhh. I really like Iowans. Thank god for Iowa. I think they managed to save the Democratic Party from losing election '04.
As a strong supporter of Clark and big fan of both Kerry and Clark, last night's caucus was nothing short of fantastic. I respect Kerry so very much...so it's good to see him do so well that even if he ultimately does lose the nomination fight, he'll have done so respectfully.
The point of this post isn't to gloat, however. I'm really worried about how Dean moves forward from this point. During the past week he's been making incredibly audacious claims such as, "They're not trying to defeat me [Dean], they're trying to defeat you [Dean's supporters]!" Not cool.
The campaign is already spinning the results every which way....blaming everyone and anybody but themselves. No doubt they'll continue with the same rubbish about the so-called "establishment" and DC Democrats, yada yada yada. Hopefully the New Hampshirites will see through like the Iowans.
Anyway...I'm tickled pink. Clark's decision to skip Iowa is paying off...and at this point he's in the best position to capitalize on a good showing in NH on his way to the great south.
